I think maybe because I expected it to be horrible and boring and time-wasting, that when other things actually happened, it felt so amazing. Today I found that I'm not nearly as terrible as I've always made myself out to be, and that other people aren't as terrible as I make them out to be, and that the world can be a very small place.
