I'm pretty sure, when someone in Australia, asks you, in english, where you come from, as in what nation you come from, you do not say, "Australia." If someone in Australia, is talking to you in English, and you are replying in perfectly normal english, you do not say, "I was born here." Because it's like no shit dumbass.

People in Australia don't ask you what your nationality is, expecting it to be Australian.
